STRENGTHS & SKILLS:
Anything under the umbrella of housewife skills, Ida can do - and do well. She is a machine when it comes to cooking, cleaning, sewing, knitting, handling children, and generally taking care of her husband, which Ida seems to genuinely enjoy doing. Often times she has dinner or a beer cracked open and ready for him right before he even vocalizes that he wants one. Her focus on being a good housewife often overshadows her other talents, though. Ida is an exceptionally good tinkerer - a regular MacGuyver, she can turn what seems to be garbage into something fantastic and useful. For this reason it isnt uncommon to find her dumpster diving in the rare moment she isnt tending to her wifely duties, looking for spare parts or things she could use for her next personal project. This also extends to an enjoyment for making wind up toys for local kids.
Even more surprising, Ida is far more perceptive than she lets on, and seems pretty skilled at dodging and handling a gun..
WEAKNESSES:
Her husband. Her desires and often other peoples desires are trumped by Davids needs. People tend to get the impression Ida could be very able and successful on her own, yet she throws that to the wind to stay loyal by Davids side. Ida also doesnt seem to like handling or dealing with complicated situations - it stresses her out immensely. Her world is ideally, very simple. Because of her dedication and focus on David, Ida tends to forget her own capabilities and downplays her successes, far too humble for her own good.
PERSONALITY:
A people-pleasing pushover. Ida is everything a good 1950s housewife should be and is single-handedly bringing womens rights back several years. Ida doesn't come off as the smartest girl but can be surprisingly more perceptive than one would think. She's sweet as candy and would love to have you over for dinner! But for as nice and compassionate as Ida can be, her thoughts on what a proper man or woman should be is very archaic..not to mention she is rather homophobic and maybe possibly a teeny bit racist (she has been known to say some unintentionally horribly bigoted stuff)..but it doesn't seem to be out of maliciousness. Ida really just doesn't know any better, and one could easily point out her upbringing as a culprit. These things tend to get her into a lot of trouble.

STRENGTHS & SKILLS:
David is extremely intelligent and resourceful- this might not always lead him down the right path, but it's certainly a path. He's been specially trained to handle these situations, which is why his cool nature might seem a bit apathetic- and who knows, maybe it is! He doesn't panic, and he seems to always know what to do.
WEAKNESSES:
Diplomacy. He has absolutely no penchant for it. David will get himself into bad situations because he's horrible at handling relationships either between him and another person or between two people.
But let's talk about David and relationships for a second. Whether you're friend or family, you can't shake the feeling that you're being played. Being in any kind of relationship with David is exhausting- you are constantly being lied to, being gaslighted, or made to feel like you shouldn't be blaming him for something. The strange part is that it doesn't seem to be for any kind of monetary or physical gain, and further still it doesn't look like he gets some sort of power trip from it. It's just who he is.

He's kind of a douche-bag, and he'll say some pretty awful stuff to you. But that's all that it is, just stuff. In the end it feels like David doesn't do much but talk. He's willing to lend a hand to help, and really he is constantly doing nice things, even if it's under all that talk.
On the surface, he is calm and collected, monotone and inexpressive. He's a steady stream of offensive jokes, sarcasm, and pop culture references.HISTORY:
After some sort of whirl-wind, Casablanca romance, David and Ida married in the hot summer of 2013, and shortly after began raising a family. They don't talk about what they did before then, but it always sounds like they remember it fondly, and they occasionally have some crazy half-stories from it. ("Remember that night in Amsterdam? Boy, that was insane." )
David will talk a lot about his son, Wyatt, who is very young. He has drawings from him, and photos, and always love mentioning him in casual conversation. ("Oh shit. Wyatt would totally dig that. He's all about dinosaurs right now.") You'll hear him make references to his daughter, apparently from a previous marriage, Rose, who seems to be in her broody teenager phase. He doesn't talk a lot about her, and will mention, when pressed, that she lives in a special needs hospital.

- He is a Chinese-American. He speaks Chinese, badly. He understands it but doesn't pronounce it properly. It's like he doesn't really try.
- He's always doing something, or trying to do something. He doesn't like having a lot of down-time. It seems like he's trying to preoccupy himself all the time.
- He is totally down for whatever you want to do. He isn't lazy by any means, and he likes adventure, as outwardly calm as he seems. If you have a dare, tell him. But be prepared for him to totally do it.

- 99% of the stuff he says is a joke. But it's hard to tell what is and what isn't.
- His favorite pony is Twilight Sparkle, and he knows the whole alicorn arc is really stupid, stop talking about it!
